Solid industrial foam is a versatile lightweight material that can be either flexible or rigid. While the term foam is often used interchangeably with sponge, foam is produced with a distinct mix of ingredients by a unique manufacturing process and is used for different applications than sponge. Polyurethane foams are quite flexible and primarily used for shock absorption and vibration control. More structural foams are often used for filters and pads.

Compressed non-asbestos (CNA) materials are heat-resistant and chemical-resistant substitutes for asbestos sealing materials. They provide similar strength and resistance characteristics as asbestos materials while eliminating the toxic hazards associated with asbestos fibers. A plastic is a durable polymer material that maintains its shape when pressure is applied. Multiple variations of compounds are mixed with a variety of additives, fillers, stabilizers, and other derivatives to produce thousands of plastics, each with unique mechanical properties. Plastics are molded into shapes while pliable and then set into either slightly flexible or more rigid forms.

A pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) is a non-reactive, thin, flexible material that remains permanently viscous and can adhere to a wide array of substrates. It bonds to the substrate material by applying light pressure without the need for heat, water or other solvents to activate it. Parts with PSA can be provided by Web Seal with either single- or double-sided adhesive coatings, and with one or more release liners.
